This is the real layout of our auditorium: ten rows with an aisle down the middle. The back rows have a better view of the screen, the front rows more legroom.

We're not a multiplex and don't want to be. We keep our prices low so the cinema is affordable even for a family with three kids.
Ten-ticket pass
Ten admissions you can use any time within a year, including several at once for a group. It works out at four euro a ticket.

A discount on all film screenings when you show your card. Valid at weekends too, not just on weekdays.

Two adults and two children under fifteen for a children's or family film. Valid for Sunday afternoon screenings.

Mornings for school classes, and outside the programme by arrangement. We can add a short introduction to the film or a talk with an educator.

Sixty-three years and still going
The building dates from 1962 and most of the interior is original — including the seats, which we had reupholstered rather than thrown out. The technology is new.
4K digital projection
We replaced it in 2021, funded by the town council and a collection among our audience. Before that we projected from 35 mm, which distributors no longer supply.

Eight channels and new acoustic panelling on the walls. The auditorium has naturally good acoustics, so concerts sound good here even without amplification.

The entrance from Theatre Street is step-free, and two spaces in the front row are reserved for wheelchairs. The accessible toilet is in the foyer.

FAQ
What you ask us most often
How long does a booking last?
Until fifteen minutes before the show starts. After that we release the seats, because there are other people queuing at the box office. If you know you'll be cutting it fine, give us a call — we'll hold your seat.
Can I pay by card?
Yes, at the box office and at the café bar. We don't have online payment yet — for a two-hundred-seat auditorium the payment gateway fees would cost us more than they'd bring in, and booking without payment works well.
Do you show foreign-language films?
Yes — most foreign-language films for adults are shown in the original with English subtitles. Children's and family films from abroad are dubbed into English, because they're watched by kids who can't read yet. It's always stated in the programme.
Can we come with a small child?
To children's and family films, definitely. To evening shows, better not — not because of the rules, but because of the volume and the length. Once a month we hold a parent-and-baby screening, with the sound turned down and the lights left on.
Why don't you have 3D?
We decided not to invest in it. With our audience numbers the projector would never pay for itself, and most of our audience told us they don't miss 3D. We spent the money on the sound instead.
Can I offer my own show or concert?
Gladly. Write to us about what it is and we'll send you the terms. We either split the ticket income or you hire the auditorium at a fixed price — whichever suits you better. Local groups and schools pay half the rate.
