Prices and extras
Prices are final and apply to studio shoots. A €30 deposit confirms your booking and is deducted from the final price. You can also add extras later, no later than five days before the shoot.

06 — How it works
How a shoot works
From booking to receiving your finished photos there are five steps. At each one you know what's happening and when it'll be done.

Booking a slot
Book a time through the form on this page or by phone. Within 24 hours we'll call you with two free slots and the details for paying the €30 deposit. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit arrives.

Before the shoot
Three days before your session you get written advice on clothing, colours and how many changes to bring. For product shoots we agree the list of items, the crops you need and the file sizes in advance.

The studio shoot
Arrive 10 minutes before the start; there's a changing room with a mirror and a steamer. You see the shots as we go on a large monitor, so we can fine-tune your pose, the light and your expression during the shoot.

Choosing your shots
Within 5 working days you get a link to a password-protected gallery. Mark your shots with a click and send your selection with one button. You have 14 days to choose, and we can extend that on request.

Editing and delivery
We edit your chosen shots and deliver them within 10 working days in print and web resolution. The download link is valid for 30 days; on request we can put the files on a USB stick too.

One hall with a north-facing window and blackout, flash and continuous lights, six paper backdrops and facilities for clients. A viewing is free by arrangement and takes about 15 minutes.

What you get after the shoot
Every photo you choose comes in two sizes: in print resolution and in a smaller version for the web. The dimensions and formats are the same for all packages.

You'll find the finished files in the same gallery you chose your shots in. The link is valid for 30 days and you can download them as often as you like. On request we can put the files on a USB stick for €8.

Ordering more shots later
We keep the unedited shots from your session for 6 months. During that time you can order more photos at the package price, and we'll reopen your gallery within two working days.
09 — Businesses
Photography for businesses and online shops
We do corporate portraits and product photography on invoice, with no deposit. We note down the lighting setup, so we can photograph a new colleague to look exactly like the rest of the team.
Team portraits
One consistent set for the whole company
We shoot on one backdrop with the same light and composition. We can do eight people in two hours; a bigger team is split into two slots on the same day, so nobody waits more than a few minutes.
Products
Photography for online shops
We photograph items on a clean white background at the same scale and with the same shadow, so they look like one set in your product listing. We also supply a version with no background for flyers and catalogues.
Bookings
Shoots outside working hours
We can start a corporate shoot from 7:00 or after 19:00, so the team doesn't have to break up the working day. We don't charge extra for an early or evening slot.

Invoice and billing details
Just fill in the form on this page and include your billing details in the message. We don't take a deposit on business orders; the full amount is payable on invoice with 14-day terms.

Enlargements and photo books
We deliver individual enlargements within 7 working days, and photo books within 10 working days of approving the page layout. Collection is at the studio during opening hours.
While you wait
Passport and ID photos
No appointment needed on weekdays from 9:00 to 11:00. We print within 20 minutes, and a digital version sized for passports and driving licences is ready the same day.
Busy season
November and December
In the run-up to Christmas, delivery times are 5 working days longer. We open bookings for these two months at the start of September, and they're usually full by the end of October.

Shoots are by appointment only, so you have the studio to yourself. The only thing we do without an appointment is ID photos.

Out of hours
Early and evening shoots
By arrangement we can do corporate shoots from 7:00 or after 19:00, so the team doesn't have to break up the working day. We don't charge extra for these slots.
Holidays
Days we don't shoot
The studio is closed on bank holidays. We don't shoot between 24 December and 1 January, but the form still works and we reply to messages on 2 January.
12 — Getting here
How to get here and where to park
The studio is on the ground floor of a former craft workshop on Glass Lane in Dublin; the entrance is from the courtyard behind the gate. If it's your first visit, give us a call when you arrive and we'll open the gate.
By car
Parking in the courtyard
Four reserved spaces right in the courtyard, driving in through the gate from the street. Your space is reserved for the whole shoot. The surrounding streets are in a pay-parking zone, charged from 8:00 to 18:00.
By bus
Stop 3 minutes' walk away
The nearest bus and Luas stop is 250 metres from the studio. From the stop, walk along the workshop wall to the green gate with the number 9; the studio is just inside on the right.
Entrance
Step-free access
The whole studio is on the ground floor with no steps, the doorway is 110 cm wide and the threshold is flush. By the waiting room there's space to leave a buggy or a wheelchair.
13 — Terms
Terms and cancellations
The terms are short and apply equally to both sides. You also get them with your booking confirmation, so you have them to hand.
Booking and deposit
Your booking is confirmed once the €30 deposit is paid. The deposit is deducted from the final price; you pay the balance when you collect your photos. We don't take a deposit on business orders paid by invoice.
Cancelling and moving an appointment
Cancelling or moving a booking more than 48 hours before the session is free; the deposit moves to the new date or we refund it within 5 working days. If you cancel less than 48 hours before, the deposit is kept.
Running late
The shoot starts at the agreed time. Arriving late shortens your session, because another booking follows yours. If you're more than 30 minutes late, the booking lapses and the deposit is kept.
Illness and a new date
If you're ill, we'll move your session free of charge, even at the last minute. Just call before the shoot starts and we'll agree a new date, usually within two weeks.
What we deliver
We deliver the agreed number of edited photos. We don't hand over unedited files straight from the camera, or shots that didn't pass our technical selection.
Licence and use
Copyright stays with the studio. You get an unlimited licence to use the photos for personal purposes, and with the corporate package also to promote your company, its website and printed materials.
Publishing in our portfolio
We only publish photos with your written consent. Consent is voluntary, doesn't affect the price and you can withdraw it at any time.
Complaints and reshoots
If the work is technically faulty, we'll fix it or reshoot free of charge within 30 days of delivery. A difference in taste when choosing shots isn't grounds for a complaint.
Children and pets
Children are welcome in the studio when accompanied by an adult. We'll photograph a pet by prior arrangement, so we can adjust the backdrop and leave extra time between bookings.
Data protection
We use the details from the form only to arrange your booking and handle your order. We don't share them with third parties, and after the job is done we keep them only as far as needed for our accounts.
14 — Payment
Payment methods
You pay the deposit by bank transfer and the balance any way you like at the studio. We invoice businesses with 14-day terms.

15 — Vouchers
Gift vouchers
We issue vouchers for an amount or for a specific package. They're valid for 12 months from issue and transferable, so the recipient books a time themselves.
Booking
How to order a voucher
In the form, choose Gift voucher and put the value or the package name in your message. We'll get back to you within 24 hours to arrange how you'd like to receive it. We issue vouchers within one working day.
Redeeming
How to redeem a voucher
Give the voucher code when you book. If the shoot costs more than the voucher, you pay the difference at the studio. Any remaining value isn't refunded in cash, but you can use it on extras or prints.
Validity
Extending the validity
The voucher is valid for 12 months from issue. If you can't make it in time, we'll extend it once by 3 months — just ask before it expires. We don't take a deposit for shoots paid with a voucher.
16 — Careers
Vacancy at the studio
We're looking for one person to help out on shoots. Experience isn't required; what matters is reliability, precision and an interest in working with light.
Position
Studio assistant
Setting up lights and backdrops before shoots, operating the equipment during sessions, tidying the studio between jobs and welcoming clients in the waiting room.
Scope
Part-time, 12 to 20 hours a week
Mostly Fridays and Saturdays; we agree the exact hours from the shoot schedule two weeks at a time. Pay €14.50 an hour, rising to €15.50 an hour after three months.

What to write
Send a short message through the form on this page about what interests you in photography and when you can work. We don't need a CV. We invite candidates to meet in person within 7 days.

The eight questions we're asked most often. If yours isn't here, write to us through the form and we'll add the answer.
What should I bring to the shoot?
Two or three outfits without big logos or loud patterns. Three days before your session we'll send specific advice on the colours and cuts that look best in our light. The changing room has a mirror, a steamer and a lint roller.
Do I also get the unedited shots straight from the camera?
No. We deliver the selected, edited photos, which we consider the finished work. We don't hand over unedited files. If you need more photos, you can order them at the package price any time within six months of the shoot.
How does choosing the shots work?
Within 5 working days you get a link to a password-protected gallery. Mark your shots with a click and send your selection with one button. You have 14 days to choose. If you can't decide, we'll help with recommendations right in the gallery.
Can I come with a small child or a dog?

What if I don't like the result?
You see the shots on the monitor during the shoot, so we agree on the result while you're still in the studio. If the work were technically faulty, we'll fix it or reshoot free of charge within 30 days of delivery.
Do you do passport and ID photos?
Yes, on weekdays from 9:00 to 11:00 with no appointment. Six prints cost €12 and are ready within 20 minutes. We prepare a digital version sized for passports and driving licences the same day.
Can I hire the studio or have a look beforehand?
A viewing by arrangement is free and takes about 15 minutes. Hiring the studio with lights on its own is arranged individually, depending on how much equipment you need and whether our assistant will be there. Write to us through the form and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.
How quickly will I hear about free dates?
We reply to form messages within 24 hours on working days. In the reply you get two specific free slots and the details for paying the deposit. Free slots are usually 7 to 14 days ahead; in November and December, a month earlier.
