Most pieces that come to us have a better frame than anything you can buy today. That's why they're worth saving — and why we don't send them to the tip.

We do dining chairs in sets — for six, the price per chair is much lower. Wingbacks and armchairs piece by piece.

Our sample books are in the workshop and we lend them out free — you need to see fabric in your own light, not under a fluorescent tube. These are the six ranges we use most.

How it works
Five steps from photo to delivery
Send photos
The whole piece, a close-up of the damage and the underside, where the frame shows. From that we estimate the price and whether the repair is worth it.
We come and have a look
Or bring the piece to the workshop. The inspection is free and decides the price — a frame can't be judged from a photo.
You choose the fabric
We lend sample books for you to take home. Keep a sample by the sofa for a few days and look at it in the morning and in the evening — it looks different under artificial light.
We reupholster
Two to four weeks, depending on the piece. We strip it back to the frame, repair the structure and rebuild it layer by layer.
We deliver and set up
We'll carry it upstairs too. If the piece won't fit somewhere on the way in, we can take it apart and reassemble it on site.
FAQ
What you ask us most often
Is an older sofa worth reupholstering?
Almost always, if it has a wooden frame. Older pieces have solid wood frames that survive several reupholsterings. It isn't worth it with sofas made of cheap wire and glued chipboard — they fall apart when stripped. We can tell at first glance and we'll tell you straight.
How long does it take?
Chairs three to five days, an armchair a week, a sofa two to four weeks. It also depends on whether the fabric is in stock — fabric to order adds two weeks. We'll give you the date when you order, and we stick to it.
How much fabric does a sofa need?
About nine metres for a three-seater, sixteen for a corner sofa. With a patterned fabric, two to three metres more — the pattern has to match up or it looks wrong. We'll give you the exact amount after the inspection.
Can I bring my own fabric?
Yes. Just show it to us first — not every fabric is an upholstery fabric, and curtain-weight fabric lasts only a few months on a sofa. If you supply the fabric, we can't guarantee how it wears, but we do guarantee our work.
Do you do antiques?
Yes, using traditional methods — horsehair, jute webbing, hand-tied springs. It takes twice as long as modern upholstery and costs more, but for a valuable piece it's the only right way. For ordinary furniture it makes no sense, and we'll talk you out of it.
What's the guarantee?
Five years on our work; the fabric carries the manufacturer's warranty according to its rated durability. If anything comes loose or a seam splits within five years, we fix it free of charge, collection included.
